THEIA was a beautiful planet. The sky was blue and the sun was bright. The grass was green and the flowers bloomed all year long. But, just like everything else in life, Theia had a dark side too. Life was also cruel in THEIA —-everyone knew it, and everyone lived with it. But there were some who suffered more than others.
They were originally born as members of other races; they were once Nobles, Mages, and Elves, but they suffered in their communities. They were slaves who were supposed to do the dirty work. They were the subjects of magic experiments that went wrong and left them scarred both physically and mentally. They had suffered betrayals, been betrayed themselves, and were the misfits who never quite fit in with their own kind. They were the result of a vicious cycle. They were born with deficiencies that made them too different to be accepted by their races and families, so they were cast out into the darkness.
One day a group of misfits decided to leave their society behind and move underground—not only because it would be easier to hide from those who hated them, but also because they wanted to see what else lay beyond the surface of our world. This decision spread quickly among other outcasts and malcontents who wanted to escape from their societies as well. So they gathered together, and they fled underground, where they could become whatever they wanted to be. Soon enough, there were hundreds—maybe even thousands— living underground with no intention to return back. They built their own society below ground in the shadows of others. They learned to live with each other's differences, and eventually became a community—a dark community that filled with the will of revenge.
Shadow Dwellers had no land of their own, but they were live in underground and abandoned places scattered throughout the world. They use the tunnels as their homes and means of transportation around the surface world. They often move through these tunnels while invisible until they are ready to strike at their unsuspecting victims, who are surprised by these attacks because they cannot see them coming. A new society was founded in the dark corners of THEIA—a society where they would be free from the prejudice and cruelty of those who had hurt them. And so it came into being after centuries: a new race made up of outcasts, united by their shared desire for freedom. They were proud of their new home and worked hard to make it strong. At first, they had no magic, no weapons—just themselves. But in the darkness, something changed them. They were hideous creatures with twisted appearances: some became shades, some monsters. They were insidious and cunning; they lurked in the shadows and struck when least expected. No one knew what they looked like or what their names were—they were simply known as “Shadow Dwellers” because that was all that anyone knew about them.

They lived for chaos and destruction because that's what gave them pleasure. They enjoyed causing as much disruption as possible because it made them feel powerful and alive, which they had never been before. Shadow Dwellers spent most of their time fighting each other or challenging each other to duels to the death over a perceived slight or insult (which led to many deaths). They also spent time trying to kill anyone who crossed into their territory without permission from the leader of their clan (which also led to many deaths).
Shadow Dwellers were not only dangerous because they were strong or fast or smart; they were dangerous because they knew how to survive where others could not. They knew how to hide in plain sight, or how to disguise themselves as normal until it was too late for their victims to run away or fight back effectively against them. They watched as those of the same race once built great cities above ground, taking what was once theirs for themselves—their homes and their lands. They plotted revenge against their former kin, who had driven them into exile and left them in the dark caves below the earth's surface. They found the weakness of their enemies and exploited it mercilessly until they were dead; that was their way of life: survival at all costs—even if it meant killing those weaker than themselves who got in their way along the way!
