Protectors of the Wild: Druids & Army of Nature

Druids were a peaceful community of wood-elven witches. They were the mages of nature, living in the forest near the mountains of the capital of Wood Elves. Druids of the Wood Elves were the elders and keepers of knowledge. They were wise and knew everything there was to know about nature. They had a deep understanding; they lived in harmony with it, and they learned how to live by its rules, rather than fight against it. They keep track of all the seasons, and they know when it's time for each plant to bloom or wither away. They can tell you how many leaves there were on a tree last summer, or how tall it was when you were born. They had a special bond with nature and it was their duty to protect it at all costs from intruders, but also from those who would harm it. They were also very skilled in magic, they cherished their knowledge of magic and their connection to nature with dignity.

Druids were strong and they had one defining ability: they could speak to animals, plants, and the earth itself. This ability of communication let them control animals and lead them to attack anyone who threatens them or their forests! With their gift, Druids quickly became more than just a bunch of witches who wanted to help out elves; they became an army of nature itself! No one could stand against them; with their power of summoning forces in a snap.

Even though Druids were peaceful at heart, they were warriors for their foes. At the time, there was a constant war between Wood Elves and their biggest enemies and their kinship, Darkwoods. When they see that the way of Darkwoods was harming nature, they decided to join the Wood Elves on the battlefield and fight for their cause, and to protect nature. So they formed an army of nature with powerful animals to help them fight against their common enemy.

Druids’ army was comprised entirely of animals that can be found in the environment around them, and it will fight for them until they are destroyed or they choose to retreat. With powerful animals like bears, eagles, and wolves; this army was so strong that it could take down whole enemy armies! The power of the Druid armies came from the bond between the Druid lord and their environment, and it reflected how well they understand that relationship. A druid who has lived in harmony with nature for many years would have much more power than one who has just begun to learn about their gifts.

The War between Wood elves and the Darkwoods to dominate the forests was a war that had been going on for decades; long and bloody, with many lives lost on both sides. But even after many years of fighting, there wasn’t any result. After all, the enemies were sharing the same ancestors; one never could win out over another! Unfortunately, the war changed lives; it came to light that the same Wood Elves that had left the Elven capital Fylanore because of their arrogance once had inherited the same arrogance and apathy from their ancestors! Druids realized that they were being used as pawns in this war; they had lost so much of their fellow friends provided by the forrest on the frontlines. They had been fighting for so long that they didn't want to continue anymore; they were peaceful once, and they realized that they forgot their core feature…so they decided to do something about it themselves!

They stopped fighting and left their homes in search of peace and safety. Not many left—just a few—but those who did found themselves lost in nature, in the enchanted deep parts of the forest. They settled down in an area in the deep forest where they could easily access the gifts of the forests for their spells and rituals. They used these resources to create magical barriers around their homes so that noone could not get inside. Once they had settled down, there was peace in them once again. It was there that they built their new homes, hidden from all prying eyes, hidden from sight so well that no one could find them. In time, they blended into nature itself; even though they disappeared, their magic didn’t; after all, they were the brown wizards of the ancient world. Their magic was peaceful, whispering into nature's ear for hundreds or even thousands from the nature to summon them and fight. They believed in fighting for the mother nature, and that was what made their magic so powerful.
Druids were known to live among the shadows of thick forests with the Army of Nature, as they sought a life of seclusion where they could contemplate and aid their people in rebuilding. As the Millennial Wars progressed, some elders from the Wood Elves and High Elves abandoned the cities to embrace the druidic path. Nature embraced them back, welcoming them on a sacred journey of pilgrimage that drew them closer together to the natural world around them. All races of THEIA still yearn to understand more about the druids and the mystical powers of nature that gave them such an advantage during the Millennial Wars. Though the druids will battle to defend what's rightfully theirs!
